The Movies You Have to See This Summer

The idea of staying inside on a warm sunny day may seem like an abomination, but when it comes to hot, sticky summer weather, to seek refuge in an air-conditioned movie theatre is an idea bordering on brilliant. That’s why we’ve rounded up the hottest summer movies to see and why you should see them. And don’t worry “ Transformers 3 is nowhere to be found.

Bridesmaids

Yes, we know it’s been out for a month, but if you haven’t seen the ultimate comedy of 2011 (notice how we did not say chick flick), you’re not only missing out on watching Jon Hamm bring new meaning to epitome of bro, you’ll likely have no idea what anyone’s referencing when they quote it for weeks on end. (Or why we’re all still listening to Wilson Phillips.)

X-Men: First Class

Right, so it’s not exactly an Academy-Award winner, but if you’re not willing to see James McAvoy channel his inner Patrick Stewart, I don’t even want to know you. Add in a plot that’s a little darker and riddled with historical references, and you might even forget what a terrible actress January Jones truly is. (But at least she’s not giving an SNL monologue “ am I right?)

Larry Crowne

As a 25-year-old female writing this article, I think it goes without saying that the combination of Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts and a romantic comedy is the stuff of 1990s-based dreams. What this movie is about? Nobody knows for sure. (At least not me.) But I’d like to find at least one person who didn’t swoon at the trailer because it’s like Sleepless in Seattle meets Erin Brockovich if The Da Vinci Code and Eat Pray Love never happened.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 2

This is a Harry Potter film. There are zero reasons why you shouldn’t see it.

Crazy, Stupid, Love

Steve Carrell. Ryan Gosling. Julianne Moore. Emma Stone. Others. Between the relatable factor of watching a heartbroken man win back his wife and the not-so-relatable factor of watching Ryan Gosling be on the receiving end of a game of hard-to-get, everything wonderful is involved in this film. Or at least that’s what having watched the two-minute preview several times in a row would have me believe.

One Day

If you’re not into the whole love story spanning decades thing, maybe you’ll be sold on the combination of Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess – IN ENGLAND. But unlike any other this is how their lives evolved after they met, this one’s about friendship, loss, sorrow, happiness and, um, “everything in-between” (sorry, we cringed at that, too). Don’t believe us? Watch the trailer. Then try not to weep.

I too agree with the point that there are no such reasons that why I shouldn’t watch harry potter. The way this series ends up make me too crazy to know that how long it will take to release the next parts of harry potter. Till that just keep watching good movies online and enjoy summers.
