The Best Natural Makeup

If you’re like me you’re loving all of the rich camel colours out there. From warm brown sugars to soft creamy beiges, it’s all about mixing up neutral tones to create a sexy and sophisticated look. But why limit your love of neutrals to your wardrobe? Believe it or not, you can create a stunning and dramatic look by layering neutral tones in your fall makeup. Here are some of our favourite ways to incorporate this season’s hottest trend into your beauty routine.

Add Some Smoke
Creating a smoky eye is a lot easier than it looks. Simply find yourself two yummy camel shades; a light one to cover your entire lid and a darker colour to blend into the crease for some drama. If you’re not sure about what colours to choose, let the professionals do it for you! For instance, Covergirl Smoky ShadowBlast in Bronze Fire gives you the perfect combination of shimmery summer sand and yummy caramel chocolate. Then pick out a dark brown eyeliner. My favourite is M.A.C’s Eye Kohl Liner in Teddy. This matte brown liner has flecks of metallic bronze in it that makes your eyes pop! After applying, use and angle brush to blend the liner into your lash line. The more you smudge, the smokier the eye.

Get Cheeky
The key to building a dramatic cheek is all in the contouring. You can choose to use either a matte brown powder or a metallic bronzer. If you want to add colour use the bronzer. If you want to add definition, select a matte powder. To contour, look at yourself in the mirror and find where the light falls on your face. Slowly start to build the colour where the shadow falls on your cheeks. The more colour you use, the more dramatic the look. Try Joe Fresh Bronzer in Sun Kissed.

Faultless Lips
Finish off the look with an elegant lip. And remember, neutral does not have to mean nude. From peachy pink hues to rich café©-au-laits, there is a wide range of neutral lip colours to choose from. Experiment with a few different shades to find the look you like the best. Try mixing a light lipstick with a darker gloss. You’ll find you’ll get a soft, yet dramatic pout. We love Revlon ColourBurst Lipstick in Peach or try Maybelline Shine Sensational Lip Gloss in Cocoa Fever.
