Nicole Kidman is Neutrogena’s Newest Global Brand Ambassador

Shout-out to Nicole Kidman who’s just been crowned Neutrogena’s newest global brand ambassador, which matters to anyone who’s ever watched Practical Magic on repeat. (Hi.)

She joins the ranks of Neutrogena alum Kerry Washington, Jennifer Garner, Julie Bowen and Kristen Bell (among others), and according to Nicole’s own words, we’ll see her first commercial air during the Oscars — where she will be, actually, since she’s nominated for her turn in Lion. The gang at Neutrogena are understandably stoked.

“We are very excited to share the news that Academy Award winning actress Nicole Kidman has become our newest Neutrogena Global Brand Ambassador,” read a statement. “Nicole embodies the true spirit of the women that we are committed to everyday — their passion, strength and focus are what make Neutrogena women so special. Nicole will help us to encourage women to embrace their beauty through the lens of skin health and empower women to see what’s possible with Neutrogena.”

According to the press release, Nicole’s angle looks to be skin protection (see: SPF), which is actually a great call. (Especially since Nicole Kidman looks perpetually like she has never seen sun despite growing up in Australia where the sun was invented.)

“I grew up in Australia where sun protection is everything,” she explained. “My mom taught me to protect my skin from the sun from the time I was a little girl. So looking after the health of my skin is something I’ve grown up understanding. But as time passes, I’ve realized that sun protection has become just part of the story. I’ve learned that skin needs a lot of attention and support, just like the rest of your body in order to keep it its healthiest.”

She isn’t wrong. Tune into the Oscars at the end of the month and you’ll see what makes up the rest of Nicole’s day-to-day regimen. (Or so I assume.)
