Vera Wang to Expand Fashion Line

Vera Wang is most well-known for her couture gowns and wedding dresses, but now the fashion designer is spreading her wings to expand her brand into menswear and a junior line.

For her menswear line, Wang is teaming up with The Men’s Wearhouse to a collection of tuxedos for rent. Titled Black by Vera Wang, the tuxedos are said to be luxurious, yet affordable.

The first Black by Vera Wang collection will have two tuxedo styles, said to be modern with one in black and the other in grey. The fashion designer says the fit will be contemporary with a shorter coat length and a narrow lapel. The pricing will start at $219.99 for the entire outfit. Both tuxedos will be available in standard, slim fit, and big and tall.

“For more than 20 years, I have shared my design vision with women around the world, so it is exciting to now have the opportunity to share that with men as well,” said Wang. “Men’s Wearhouse was a natural retail partner for the Black by Vera Wang collection.”

Black by Vera Wang will be available starting next spring at The Men’s Wearhouse in the U.S. and at Moore’s Clothing for Men in Canada.

Wang’s upcoming junior line is inspired by her Preppy Princess fragrance and will begin with apparel and jewelry, but will expand into other areas in the future. The junior line will be available exclusively at Kohl’s starting next August.
