Taylor Swift and Amanda Seyfried For Les Miserables?

We need to talk about Les Miserables: one of the most beloved musicals of all time has allegedly cast its two lead roles, and the choices are pretty controversial.

Reports claim that Taylor Swift has been offered the role of Eponine, while Amanda Seyfried has been offered the role of Cosette.

If you’re familiar with Les Miserables, you’ll know that (now) Taylor Swift’s Eponine is the daughter of two crooked hotel owners, Mr. and Mrs. Thenardiess (who will be played by Helena Bonham-Carter and Sasha Baron Cohen), while Amanda Seyfried’s Cosette is the daughter of doomed Fantine (who will be played by Anne Hathaway).

Now imagine Taylor Swift’s parents being Helena Bonham-Carter and Sasha Baron Cohen. (Yikes.)

Of course, nothing’s been confirmed as far as Amanda Seyfried and Taylor Swift’s roles go, but with the roles to be one of the most sought-after in Hollywood, the two actresses would be crazy to turn them down – especially since Amanda Seyfried is a clasically trained opera singer (which explains how she hit all of those high notes in Mama Mia).

Joining Amanda Seyfried and Taylor Swift in Les Miserables – if they join, that is – will be Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean and Russell Crowe as Inspector Javert, while Eddie Redmayne, from My Week With Marilyn, will be portraying Marius.

Can Amanda Seyfried and Taylor Swift step up to the challenge?
