Rachel McAdams was seen strolling around Toronto, hand-in-hand with her new bf, Michael Sheen.
The two were first seen getting cozy a few weeks ago at a TIFF party for Sheen’s latest movie, Beautiful Boy. They’ve been spotted together several times since then and were finally confirmed as Hollywood’s latest couple on Monday.
The new couple will also be starring in a movie together, Midnight in Paris. The movie is a romantic comedy, directed by Woody Allen, about a family that travels to France together for a business trip. According to IMDB.com, the film is currently in production.
Rachel, whose love life has been no secret to the tabloids, was in a long-term relationship with fellow Canadian actor (and hottie) Ryan Gosling. Her interest in Michael is definitely a stretch from what she is usually into (she’s also been linked to Josh Lucas and Jake Gyllenhaal). He’s British, 10 years older than her, Kate Beckinsale’s ex-husband, and father to 11-year-old Lily. But, maybe this change will work out in her favour.
It seems she’s done quite a number on Michael though, who, as People Magazine put it, seems absolutely “smitten” by Rachel.
“She’s a genuinely lovely lady as well as being stunningly beautiful and very talented so, you know, she’s got it all going on there,” he said of their time together filming Midnight in Paris.
It’ll be interesting to see how this relationship blossoms (or if it will crumble under the pressure of Hollywood). Who knows, maybe Michael will become a new permanent fixture in Toronto.
