Opening Ceremony Meets “Her”

There are lot of great movies beginning their Oscar campaign, and with the likes of American Hustle and Saving Mr. Banks among the contenders, you wouldn't think Her — the film in which Joaquin Phoenix falls in love with the Scarlett Johanssen-voiced computer — would be the first to get its own capsule collection.

Well, think again (all of us)!

Opening Ceremony is joining forces with the Spike Jonze-directed drama, marking the second time they've collaborated with Jonze (the first being for 2009's Where the Wild Things Are).

However, as Vogue UK pointed out, Opening Ceremony's latest line kind of goes hand in hand with Her already, what with the film's (or Joaquin's character's) high-waisted pants, panelled sweatshirts, patch-pocket jackets, and shearling coats. And if you've seen the trailer (and wept through it like I did), you'll remember the '80s vibe almost every character pulls off — meaning there is more than enough inspiration to draw from. (WWD has coined the collection "geek chic.")

The capsule collection will be available in the brand's New York and L.A. stores, and online as of December 1, so get set. Personally, I will love if there is a piece that is just a giant computer.
