Miss Piggy Makes her Fashion Debut in InStyle

Miss Piggy is trying her hand at a new career move! The fierce Muppet is featured in the latest issue of InStyle in an eight-page editorial. Designers such as Jason Wu, Prabal Gurung, Suno, Opening Ceremony, Brian Atwood, and Giles & Brothers created custom designs especially for Miss Piggy, and they all wanted to make sure they took the Muppet’s personality and curves into account.

“I didn’t want to dress Miss Piggy in anything that would take away from her bold personality so I went with a simple, classic dress and neutral color,” Gurung said. “The Empire waist really complements her figure.”

Wu went for a more sassy look. “Her humor, flamboyance and joie de vivre inspired me to design a decadent feathered dress that features her most sensational qualities, he said.

In the upcoming The Muppets movie, Miss Piggy plays the editor of French Vogue, which is quite fitting for the divalicious pig. Miss Piggy has begun promoting the new film and is currently on a media frenzy. Before the feature in InStyle, the Muppet appeared at Fashion’s Night Out for Opening Ceremony.

When it comes to her own personal style, Miss Piggy knows exactly what she wants out of fashion.

“Style is about expressing your inner self, capturing your personal ethos, and, most importantly, spending someone else’s money,” Piggy said.
