Laura Bailey and LK Bennett for the Win

Jack-of-all-trades and most definitely the master of all, Laura Bailey, seems to handle being a writer, model and vogue contributor flawlessly and it looks like she's cooking up something special again. Her love of shoes and the Amalfi Coast is the inspiration behind her latest collaboration project with footwear label LK Bennett.

Drawing from iconic actresses and landscapes, the Mediterranean palette and spirit is what cheered her on during her darkest days and wants her work to reflect that. A focus on sixties and early seventies, chic, but also brave are essentials in creating her products. Pointy toes, bold striped and zigzag sporty details. She wishes to recreate timeless understated glamour with a modern edge.

With a background in design, she’s conquered design collections for Radley and also founded a jewelry label with her best friend Sheherazade Goldsmith, Loquet London, but designing footwear brings new challenges for her.

Laura loves shoes, but has learned through the technical expertise of the LK Bennett team, that there is more than just throwing a design together for a shoe. The position of a strap or where each line curves on the shoe is crucial in designing shoes.

“Made to dance on London pavements or Capri sands” is how Bailey describes the collection. The collection will be available for purchase at the end of March.
