Kanye West releases line of scarves based on album

We all know musicians have a certain something-something when it comes to style, so we really shouldn’t be surprised that Kanye West has just released a line of accessories based on last year’s stellar My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Based on artist George Condo’s artwork for the album, the graphic designer duo of Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag (of M/M) approached the rapper to turn the controversial pieces into scarves, and as of today, you can drop $364 each on mmparis.com for a piece of the action.

But like the best kind of cereal box toys, you’ve got to collect them all: the collection consists of five different designs (Ballerine, Face, Phoenix, Power and Priest), and only 100 of each have been made in total. (But beware – Phoenix isn’t exactly safe for work.)

Though the day’s style-and-music mix doesn’t stop there.

With the premiere of Lady Gaga’s video for “Judas” on Friday, the pop star’s fashion choices have been under the spotlight, especially since the video was styled by Nicola Formichetti, and boasts pieces from Haus of GaGa, Christian Lacroix and Alexander McQueen. (Although we’re sure it’s only the fashion that has anything to do with all the video attention.)

Now if only we could forget that Katy Perry launched that cat-themed perfume.
