Update: The couple are actually ALREADY MARRIED! “It’s great to be married, the ceremony was beautiful and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends,” the couple told PEOPLE in an exclusive statement Friday.
It is finally happening — Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are tying the knot this weekend in Italy.
The couple along with their guests arrived in Italy earlier this week and were transported to the countryside on Thursday to begin their wedding festivities (they actually had all the guests flown out to southern Italy on a private jet). Once they arrived in Puglia, a casual party commenced on the beach with open fires, white recliners, and wine and cheese being served throughout the night.
According to reports, the festivities are costing the couple a total of $6.5 million. Sources say JT and Jessica have been working with her stylist and his HomeMint partner Estee Stanley to plan the wedding. The actual nuptials will apparently take place just outside of Naples.
It’s their favorite place — a location that is very special to them, a source said.
Another source says the plans for the wedding were kept so hush-hush that even wedding guests were not told of the actual location until days before they were scheduled to arrive in Italy.
Rumour has it that Justin will be poking fun at his former ˜NSYNC days by doing a song and dance number with his ushers during the reception. Reports say that Jessica’s favorite ˜NSYNC song is It’s Gonna Be Me and Justin is planning to perform the song with a funny choreographed danced number as a surprise.
Guests of the star-studded event include JT’s SNL partner in crime Andy Samberg, his manager Johnny Wright, former ˜NSYNC band member Chris Kirkpatrick and long time collaborator Timbaland. Jessica’s guests include her former 7th Heaven co-star Beverly Mitchell.
