Hillary Clinton Gets Honoured by Michael Kors

Okay, so here is a perfect wonderful thing to begin your morning with (or early afternoon): Hillary Rodham Clinton is receiving the first-ever Michael Kors Award for Outstanding Community Service at the God's Love We Deliver Golden Hearts Awards dinner on October 16. True, this is the first time I've heard of that event, but nonetheless — go, Hillary!

"I am deeply honoured to present Mrs. Clinton with this award that means so much to me," said Kors. "She is a dedicated and enormously effective humanitarian whose commitment to community service encompasses the whole planet. Thanks to her talent, devotion, and unrelenting efforts on behalf of those with much less, she has improved millions of lives and helped lay the foundation for a better, more just world."

Well, obviously! (Imagine how proud Leslie Knope must be, somewhere.)

Together, Kors and God's Work We Deliver works to end world hunger, which is why the awards will be held on World Food Day. They'll also honour Aerin Lauder, Founder and Creative Director of AERIN, and Style and Image Director of Estee Lauder with the Golden Heart for Lifetime Achievement. Jeff Gates and Mike Moran will win the Golden Heart for Outstanding Volunteerism (thanks to being lifetime volunteers and donors).

Congratulations to all!
