Gisele Bundchen For Givenchy

It’s that time of year. No, not Christmas (for once): designers are naming their celebrity spokespeople, and Givenchy are no different. Now, after months of speculation, it’s been confirmed that Gisele Bundchen is the fashion house’s official face.

While no official statement has been made, Gisele Bundchen’s leaked photoshoot has confirmed the Twitter speculation, showing the model wearing a black dress from Givenchy’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection (and accompanied by two male models who don’t exactly look beach-ready).

Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Gisele Bundchen looks uncannily goth, peaking interest of industry insiders who can likely assume Givenchy’s campaign will be cloaked in drama. (That, and the theme of the shoot was “love between a surfer and a mermaid.” Swoon.)

Of course, Gisele Bundchen’s involvement with Givenchy is no secret. With this being her second major ad campaign for the brand, Twitter was, well, a-Twitter, earlier this year after Givenchy was the only show walked by Gisele Bundchen. “As for the spring/summer 2012 campaign,” teased a Givenchy spokesperson. “Watch out for the February issue of Vogue to find out!”

Looks like we don’t necessarily need to do that anymore. But we will anyway.
