David Beckham Set to Become a Real-Deal Designer

The Beckhams could be the designing family if there is any truth to the following rumour: David Beckham might be gearing up to become a for-real designer.

According to Vogue and WWD, BRAND Beckham could be expanding to include a ready-to-wear collection, designed by the football star himself. Word on the street is that he's in talks with Li & Fung as well as other investors to create a casual line of ready-to-wear pieces, thus officially establishing him as a force to be reckoned with — especially since he's previously designed for H&M and Adidas.

In November, he also designed a collection for Belstaff while also fronting their 2014 campaign. The campaign focused on a "band of brothers," and was inspired by "reviving luxury moto classics that have been redefined by Beckham's iconic personal style." (According to Fashion Times.) So with that in mind, it makes sense for him to start designing full-time, since he's obviously cultivated such a precise aesthetic. (I mean, when you think of David Beckham, you tend to think of a well-dressed human being in a very specific type of garb.)

No other details about the potential fashion foray have been released, but if this thing is a go, you can bet your bottom dollar we'll be screaming about it from the rooftops. (Particularly: "David! When you're done designing can you PLEASE convince Victoria to join the Spice Girls reunion?!")
