It’s fair to say the next season of Dancing with the Stars is definitely going to be a spectacle. The new contestants were revealed last night and it seems as though this season might just top the rest (especially when it comes to the off-stage drama!).
Mike Sorentino AKA The Situation of Jersey Shore will be joined by fellow MTV reality show star Audrina Patridge of The Hills. If anyone is going to cause some behind-the-scenes drama, it will definitely be these two.
David Hasselhoff (don’t hassle the hoff! Sorry, I couldn’t help myself…) will also be joining the cast this season, perhaps he has picked up a few tricks as a judge on America’s Got Talent. The athlete of the season will be none other than Rick Fox, who revealed that “they had concerns about my height.” If you are anything like me and know nothing about sports, then you might know Fox from his role on The Game. He will also be joined by NFL quarterback, Kurt Warner.
Florence Henderson, Michael Bolton, Margaret Cho, and Brandy Norwood will also be sharing the stage on Dancing With the Stars on season 11.
Oh yeah, and Bristol Palin (ugh) is going to be a contestant as well. I’m going to go ahead and say she’s probably going to get voted off in the first couple of episodes (yeah, I said it!).
And for the youngins out there, Kyle Massey of Disney’s That’s so Raven and Cory in the House will be bringing some youthful flavor to the competition.
And now, my favorite contestant of the year (and the person who might actually get me watching) is none other than Jennifer Grey of Dirty Dancing fame. She has been approached by the show before, but finally “felt like the right time.”
I think Jennifer Grey and Brandy Norwood are probably going to offer the stiffest competition on this season of Dancing with the Stars. I also think good ol’ Mike is going to be the judges’ worst nightmare with this potty mouth and Audrina doesn’t seem like much of a dancer at all, so it’ll be interesting to see if she can pull this one off.
Season 11 of Dancing with the Stars begins September 20th.
