Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale is Released Today

If anyone knows how to work a comeback, it’s Britney Spears. Today is the release of her 7th studio album, Femme Fatale, and Britney has been hard at work the last few days promoting the heck out of it. It’s true that this is Britney’s third album since her infamous breakdown, however this seems to be the one that’s going to get her title as ‘Pop Princess’ back.

On the weekend, Britney Spears gave a surprise performance at the Palms Resort in Las Vegas where she performed three songs from the new album and there doesn’t seem to be a single bad review of the show out there. She even had DJ Pauly D (of Jersey Shore fame) playing the rest of the night to make sure the crowd was pumped when she made her surprise arrival.

This morning, Britney celebrated the release of Femme Fatale with a pre-taped performance in San Francisco for Good Morning America, her official comeback performance. The performance was taped at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on Sunday and she performed “Hold it Against Me,” “Big Fat Bass” and “Till The World Ends.” After the performance Britney was given a special certificate, proclaiming March 29th as Britney Spears Day in San Francisco. Now, if that’s not how to make a comeback, then I don’t know what is.

Then yesterday, it was announced that Britney Spears will be a special guest host alongside Ryan Seacrest at this year’s Wango Tango concert at the Staples Center in LA this coming May. The performers include Selena Gomez, Ke$ha, Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez, T-Pain and Far East Movement.

To top it all off, Britney announced on Good Morning America today that she will be going on tour this summer with Enrique Iglesias. Hopefully the summer tour will include a few dates here in Canada!

Will you be buying Femme Fatale today?
