It’s no secret that traditional nail polish harbours some unsavoury chemicals—one whiff of an open bottle will tell you that much. At first thought, eco-friendly nail polishes sound like watery disasters, which is exactly what I thought before I tried them for myself. Give these brands a try next time your #maniMonday rolls around.
A great Canadian brand (woo!), LACC stands for La Couleur Couture ($13). The brand touts itself as being cruelty-free and vegan-friendly. Not only does this polish have a great consistency, the brush spreads the varnish on beautifully. LACC shades are numbered, and one of my personal favourites is 2005—the perfect almost-white shade for the pre-summer weather.
