Ruby Rose is Urban Decay’s New Spokesperson

First, they recruited Gwen Stefani, and now Urban Decay has done it again. Correct, friends (were you guessing?): Ruby Rose is now the newest spokesperson for Urban Decay — or more specifically, she’s the brand’s Most Addictive New Vice.

And what does that mean? Well, Urban Decay describes the job as, “Just to keep rocking our world and spreading the gospel of our self-expression, addiction to colour, and ‘beauty with an edge.'” (Literally what I think I do every day, but fair enough.)

“Urban Decay believes in supporting individuality and personal self-expression — two values I hold very dear — because everyone deserves the freedom to explore their personality and discover their true selves,” Rose said in a statement.

And that’s all we know. I mean, other than what Urban Decay’s founding partner, Wende Zomnir, added:

“[We signed Rose] because everything Urban Decay does is feminine, dangerous, and fun,” she said. “With her badass look, f–k it attitude, and playful spirit, Ruby nails what that means to us.”

Also: “Better things come to those who wait. Just give it time.”

Which means that Urban Decay obviously has a few tricks up its sleeve and we don’t get to know anything yet. But how great would a Ruby Rose-centric line be? Think of the eyeliner. Think of the lipstick. Think of how badass you’d feel if you wore even a little of each. (I feel like we’d all fee very badass.)

Also I am living for the increase of celebrities collaborating with brands I love. It’s kind of the best? I mean, yes, it’s obviously a bit of a ploy to pique our interests, but at the same time, who cares? I can and will accept the likes of Gigi Hadid and Caitlyn Jenner and Jennifer Lawrence fronting for brands I’m into — or even better, collaborating with them. I know I won’t feel like these famouses when I put on their lipgloss, but I’m also the person who bought Pizza Hut Barbies (do you guys remember those?) so if two of my favourite things (celebrities and makeup/fashion) can marry professionally, then I will 100% invest in them.

But in the meantime, I will assume Ruby Rose will release a line on par with Gwen Stefani’s which also means we might all get an eyeshadow palette out of the deal. Which, admittedly, would be killer — especially since Rose’s makeup is legitimately flawless, constantly. And if I buy her makeup line, I will also look flawless, constantly.

Because that’s how it works and don’t any of you correct me. Thank you.
