Fall Fragrances We Love

Fall brings along a crisp season that is full of dark, moody hues, warm layered clothing and a new crop of fragrances to match the chilly weather. While we’re huge proponents of having old faithful fragrances, we’ve rounded up five new scents that we can’t wait to spritz.

Escada Joyful, $77 (50 ml), sephora.com

This light and airy scent might seem more on the spring side than fall, but it’s really a breath of fresh air that will be a sweet reminder of warm sunny days that have just wrapped up but are sure to come again soon. With top notes of blackcurrant sorbet and mandarin; mid notes of violet leaves, pink peony, cyclamen and pink freesia; and a base of moss, sandalwood and honeycomb, this scent is fresh and crisp, just like autumn mornings to come.

Calvin Klein Reveal, $85 (50 ml), thebay.com

The latest from fragrance guru brand Calvin Klein is Reveal—the soft oriental fragrance that is a light take on a heady, perfect-for-fall scent. Reveal opens with notes of raw salt and pink, black and white pepper; has a heart of orris, warm ambergris and solar accord; and has an intoxicating base of sandalwood, cashmeran and vetiver. The perfect scent for date night or just for a cozy change from the sweeter summer scents, this spritz will pair perfectly with cashmere sweaters and leather boots.

Burberry My Burberry, $98 (50 ml), thebay.com

Meant to encapsulate the scent of a London garden after it rains, you can guarantee this scent will be a staple for all of those in-between seasons like spring and fall. The new Burberry My Burberry has tope notes of sweet pea and juicy bergamot; a heart of geranium, golden quince and floral freesia; and a base of damask, centifolia roses and spicy patchouli. A transitional scent that has a masculine feel to an otherwise feminine fragrance.

Prada Candy Florale, $85 (50 ml), sephora.com

The newest take on the cult favourite is Prada Candy Florale. Powdery notes and a light floral dipped in honey lighten up the saccharine sweetness of its original Candy predecessor. For those who maybe loved the original Candy, but needed something not as edible, Candy Florale is an airy alternative that still harnesses the Candy confectionary heart in a soft feminine way.

Givenchy Dahlia Noir, $105 (50 ml), sephora.com

When Givenchy Dahlia Noir launched three years ago, it because an intstant fave—whether you were opting for the lighter toilette or muskier parfum, the two originals opened the door for a modern classic scent. The new Givenchy Dahlia Divin has taken that one step further and is truly this writer’s favourite Dahlia to date. This lush floral woody scent has notes of golden fruit, mirabelle plum, heady jasmine, vertiver, sandalwood and patchouli for a quintessential autumn scent that will keep you warm when the weather doesn’t.
