Best Drugstore Face Masks

Putting your best face forward doesn’t need to break the bank. In fact, there are lots of wonderful skin remedies that are available at the drugstore! While a facial once and a while is a nice treat, here are some tried and true drugstore facemasks that will keep your skin glowing!

Dry Skin

Most of my favourite moisturizing face masks are Do-It-Yourself home remedies, there are great alternatives available at the drugstore that don’t involve slathering your face in honey or oatmeal. The Neostrata Moisture Rescue Sheet Mask is a wonderful dermatologist-recommended mask for dry skin. The sheet mask is coated in a liquid gel and can be left on your face for half an hour. It contains hyaluronic acid and truly helps your skin retain water – leaving it luminous and hydrated.

Normal Skin

A face mask can be a great pick me up and can get your skin glowing! Live Clean’s Fresh Face Cleansing Clay Mask is gentle and is full of Vitamin C and organic botanicals to soothe the skin. The Neutrogena Clean Long-Last Shine Control Cleanser/Mask is also a great pick for use in the shower and leaves skin tingly fresh. For the occasional stubborn blackheads, the Biore Nose Strips are always stocked in my cabinet.

Combination Skin

Taking the time to treat and balance your skin is 10 minutes well spent! And using the Freeman Feeling Beautiful Facial Enzyme Mask, Pineapple definitely smells like a treat. This enzyme mask with AHAs helps exfoliate skin while lightly moisturizing the skin.

Oily Skin

In my teenage years, my skin was a lot oilier than it is now (I’m a combo/dry skin gal now), but I used to reach for a clay mask once every other week to clear my pores. That being said, some tried and true cult favorites include Queen Helene’s Mint Julep Masque, St. Ives Mineral Clay Firming Masque, and Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask. All three utilize “clay” as their active ingredient, which helps absorb excess oil and draw out impurities from your pores.
