Avon Recalls Dangerous Eyelash Curler

If you've bought an Avon eyelash curler recently, warnings of "you could poke somebody's eye out with that thing!" can now officially be taken serious.

Yes, friends: Avon has officially recalled their Avon Ergonomic Eyelash Curler, which is silver with black ergonomic finger grips. The model number is F3093441, and can be found on the curler's box.

So what's the problem? Well, turns out, it can break, which can — and will — expose a metal pin which, yes, could poke somebody's eye (out). So far, the company has receieved one report from Canada where that happened and caused a minor injury. Health Canada, on the other hand, has not received any reports, so if there is a silver lining (or eyelash curler) (GET IT?!), we've found it.

However, these products aren't exactly new. They were actually sold from 2007 to 2008, with almost 50 000 of them having been bought. (So if you still have the box, congratulations — that is powerful.)
