5 Beauty Looks from TO Fashion Week

Fashion week in Toronto wrapped up on Friday, which means we spent most the weekend catching up on sleep. Now that we’re well-rested, it is time to recap some of our favourite moments from the fall 2013 collections. Because we are beauty fanatics, we loved hanging out backstage with Maybelline New York’s Lead Makeup Artists, Grace Lee, as she created the looks for each and every show.

Here are our top 5 favourite makeup looks from Toronto’s World MasterCard Fashion Week:

Rudsak

The Rudsak girl is effortlessly cool, edgy and a natural beauty. The model’s cheeks were contoured with darker shades of Fit Me! Pressed Powder (Caramel, Honey Beige) and Fit Me! Blush in Deep Rose. Lips were topped off with Baby Lips in Grape Vine.

Mackage

The Mackage girl is urban and sophisticated. Grace created the look of flawless skin and paired it with a unique brown burgundy lip. A mix of Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Deepest Cherry and SuperStay 14HR Lipstick in Wine and Forever were used on the lips. Fit Me! Foundation and a swipe of Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer under the eyes achieved perfect-looking skin.

Matis by Lucian Matis

Grace calls this look “The Supermodel”. This season is all about the dramatic eye for Matis by Lucian Matis. She mixed Bold Brown with Midnight Master in the Master Drama eye pencils. She brushed it all out to create a triangular shape to create the look of big eyes.

David Dixon

David likes his models to look very feminine and classic. Grace used Fit Me! Foundation to keep the skin looking natural. She filled the brows in with Master Shade for a fuller look. On the eyes she mixed two Colour Tattoo eye shadows, Too Cool and Silver Strike.

Joe Fresh

The look this season for Joe Fresh was inspired by Patti Smith, a punk chic look and understated makeup. Grace used Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner in Blackest Black, in a subtle cat-eye. The cheek colour is soft and rosy. Grace used Dream Bouncy Blush in Candy Coral and Rose Petal. P.s. How gorgeous is Heather Marks!?
