I know you’re asking: Brittney Jones who? Well it’s Ashton Kutcher’s supposed mistress and she’s scheduled to release a sex tape with a former boyfriend that’s apparently very explicit and uninhibited, says Vivid (an Adult Entertainment company, the ones who released the Kim Kardashian sex tape).
To be clear, the tape does NOT feature Ashton Kutcher (it’s with Jones and a former boyfriend), but the adult entertainment company is using Ashton’s name to promote the film, referencing the alleged affair that Brittney Jones says she had with Kutcher. The Vivid press release about the film, which has gotten Ashton majorly peeved (as well it should!) says: Ashton’s fans will undoubtedly enjoy seeing what the star himself may have experienced. So basically they are trying to leverage this supposed affair to sell tons of Brittney Jones films, that doesn’t have any moment with Ashton Kutcher in it.
Kutcher’s lawyer notes that there’s tremendous value to the star’s name and likeness, and that Vivid is attempting to misappropriate and convert the potential economic value in Mr. Kutcher’s identity to [its] own advantage. And Kutcher’s team is obviously concerned about the damaging effects not only on his marriage but his carefully crafted image in Hollywood.
